🎓 H5P Course Presentation Module on WordPress

Welcome, everyone! Today I’m sharing how to create an interactive course presentation using the H5P Course Presentation module on WordPress.

This module lets you build a slideshow packed with media, interactive tasks, and navigation — all in one place. Let’s take a look at what it can do and how you can use it.

👀 Preview: What We’ll Be Making

Here’s a sample of what we built:

  • 🔢 10-slide presentation
  • 🖊️ Text, shapes, and links
  • 🦁 Clickable silhouettes to navigate to animal pages
  • 🎥 Embedded video
  • 🧠 Exportable text & drag-and-drop tasks
  • 📊 Summary with scores at the end

This module is perfect for teachers, presenters, or anyone looking to share content interactively.

🧱 What You Can Add

You can add:

  • 🖊️ Text
  • 🔗 Links
  • 🖼️ Images
  • 🔷 Shapes (rectangle, circle, lines)
  • 🎥 Video or 🎧 Audio
  • 🔘 Buttons (Go to Slide)
  • ❓ Fill in the Blanks, Multiple Choice, True/False
  • 🧠 Drag and Drop, Mark the Words, Dialog Cards
  • 🧾 Continuous Text, Exportable Text Area
  • 📊 Summary slides
  • 🐦 Twitter Feed (experimental)

🧾 Continuous Text

A great tool for handling long blocks of text:

  • Add all your text into the first slide.
  • Use the Continuous Text element on following slides — it will automatically continue from where it left off.
  • Great for storytelling, chapters, or long articles.

💬 Exportable Text Area

Let users answer questions or reflect:

  • Users can type their own text (e.g., “What did you learn about animals?”)
  • Text can be exported at the end of the presentation.
  • Ideal for reflection, journaling, or personal input.

🧪 Bonus: Twitter Feed (⚠️ Not Working)

The Twitter User Feed element currently does not work without Twitter API setup. I tried usernames with and without @, but no luck. If you figure it out, let me know!

🧠 Adding Activities from Other Modules

Here’s a useful trick:

  • Copy an existing activity (e.g., Drag and Drop) from another H5P module.
  • Paste it directly into a Course Presentation slide.
  • Edit the copy without affecting the original!

✅ Works great for reusing content across modules.

📊 Summary Page

The final slide includes:

  • A summary of scores from all activities
  • Options to retry, view answers, or export text

Perfect for tracking student understanding or self-review.
